Lighthouse Restaurant Cooking Class

The Lighthouse Restaurant is conveniently situated on the west bank of the Thu Bon River. It enjoys spectacular, unobstructed views across the river to the ancient town of Hoi An and is only a short walk from the bustling Central Markets.

The restaurant opened in 2004 and is owned and run by Dutchman Hans van der Broek and his Vietnamese wife Tran Thi Thuy Linh. In addition to their restaurant, Hans and Linh have been operating bicycle tours and cooking classes since 2005. Lighthouse is the only Hoi An company offering the option of a combined bicycle tour and cooking class!

The Lighthouse Cooking Classes provide a fascinating insight into the preparation of delicious Vietnamese cuisine and an opportunity to learn first-hand about Hoi An’s traditional values and customs.

Small and intimate classes are run in an extremely clean and comfortable environment. Couples and families are particularly welcome. The emphasis is on small class sizes in order to maintain high standards of quality and service.

The classes are very moderately priced and include a market tour, boat ride to the school, complimentary drink on arrival, practical cooking class and lunch with a spectacular river view. This makes for an unforgettable experience!
